I have at least one full bag. I don't remember what size off the top of my head. But, like @Griffin in Dallas, when you live in South Texas and there is lump charcoal at every checkout counter at the local HEBs you don't sweat it...

Wilma observed this weekend that I'm always ready and anxious to buy and carry multiple bags of lump, but she always has to ask me to pick up salt for the water softener. I told her the lump is fun and weighs 20 or 22 lbs per bag. The salt is not fun and weighs 40lbs per bag. It's simple math.Flint, Michigan

The warehouse is in Fenton, right next to the old Chrysler plant. The actual plant is buried in the Mark Twain Forest in southern MO. -

Was waiting for the butcher to get some tri tip at Krogers and found 3bags of Krogers lump. Two felt like lots of ash and little pieces, the third seemed to be really good. Checked the Whiz's site, no reviews, so I just grabbed the good bag. Some old posts seem to suggest its royal oak. It was cheaper than walmarts royal oak, so if they always have a couple of bags I may be able to survive the winter! Oh, and since I'm cooking pork butts today I'll toss in some pork pron. this is the one place the moss on the gasser - er shelving is a sign of pride!

Stopped by Home Depot and found the Tru-Cue $1.98 a bag markdown. Bought 14 bags. After loading the egg for beef clod this weekend, I have 123 lbs of Royal Oak and 123 lbs of Tru Cue.
I figured even if the Tru Cue was smoky, I could use it on Spatchcocks, Tritips, reverse sears and pizzas.
And I confirmed that the BGE dealer planned on staying open all winter and stocked with BGE lump.

There are like 20 stores that sell eggs within 20 miles of my house there's no need to stock up lump is always available. Plus I have amazon prime so I can just have it shipped to my door with free 2 day shipping if Im lazy. That being siad I still have about 40 pounds of FOGO lump, an old bad of wicked good, and probably 100 pounds of royal oak.
