Biggest piece of lump you've seen?

This weekend I came across the biggest piece of lump I've had in a bag in my short egging career. I'm sure others have seen larger, what's the biggest you've encountered?

This is my record. It was almost 6 pounds IIRC. Came from a bag of Kamado Joe lump:

The Naked Whiz -
Best of the West, about the size of a football.
XXL #82 out of the first 100, XLGE X 2, LBGE (gave this one to daughter 1.0) , MBGE (now in the hands of iloveagoodyoke daughter 2.0) and lots of toys -
Was it mesquite? Seen some huge chunks of mesquite, think they were the whole trunk of the tree.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Thread Throwback; Bigger than a softball size lump found in the "old" 17.63# bag. Saving it for my next LnS.

I consistently find pieces like Whiz posted.

just curious - why would you even use a piece that large without breaking it up first?berndcrisp said:A football size chunk from Kamado Joe. K.J. is the best lump I've used.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
If Kamado cooking is all about air flow, then the biggest peices on the bottom of the charcoal grate will cover the least holes and allow for the most airflow. This is my learnings after cooking for 3 yrs.RRP said:

Issue with big chunks.......just like a big hunk of meat, they're not going to be evenly cooked (or carbonized) all the way through. I guess if you're in South America where you can slow burn whole logs and not have the EPA or DNR to deal with, it might be easier. But there's no way it's going to be 80%+ carbon all the way through without breaking apart. There's a reason the chunk is that big--there is wood fiber holding it together.

No pictures...last 40 pound bag of Auy Carbon I opened had about half a coffee can of "normal" sized stuff and had 4 chunks in it...
Really like Auy Carbon and Lazzari. Have went thru 14-15 40 pound bags...and have found 2 small rocks... -

So far this is the biggest piece I've come across -
That is the largest I've found so large in fact I just threw it away. Right!RRP said:
