Do you buy things you don't really need?

I just can't seem to pass up a good deal. If I see an egg for cheap I gotta buy it even though I don't really need it. People are starting to think I am mental.

I am right there with you. Been watching Craig's list and ebay for a deal. I missed a brand new Medium, nest, mates, and bag of lump for $400 yesterday. Seller lived 10 miles away from me. Seller said that they better off buying a dinner then making one.

Yes!! "Kub" arrives today and going to the gun store tmrw. Can't help myself.
  • No. But maybe it's a matter of what "don't really need" means. I recently purchased a meat grinder so that I could grind my own hamburger meat. Did I really need to do that since I can get hamburger meat at the store. I guess not; but, I've used the grinder a couple of times and will continue to do so.

Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.

I usually make what I need.  Good hand crafted tools are the best.

    Simple ingredients, amazing results!

I'm usually very good about this stuff.  It's not bad, but I'm starting to notice that I have a rack full of rubs and a cabinet full of bbq sauces.  It's great to have a variety, but I'm thinking it may get out of control.

You must be located in/near Orlando. Seller was 11.8 miles from me.

I mean, the ad stated the exact same thing "her husband was better off buying dinner, then making it".

Sam, I wish I could make some of these things.  You must have a special talent.
  • I only buy what I need. I needed five eggs, one bubba keg, and like 10 webers. My wife thinks I'm crazy, she just doesn't understand my needs.

I resemble that remark...if i borrow it once - then i needed it!!!  I would not gripe if the wife had 2 vaccum cleaners or we had 2 twelve packs of beer....

The DudeThis is a very complicated case, Maude. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's. And, uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Luckily I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, limber.

  • I'm kinda confused, what does needing it have anything to do with it? By the way, I am mental also when it comes to cooking outdoors.

Does beer count?  I feel like beer shouldn't count here.  It falls much closer to the "need" than the "want".

I can't walk past cast iron in the store without buying it....have too many rubs and spices and my swmbo complains all the time about us not having space for all of my cooking paraphernalia. There is always space right??

SWMBO claims that my egging, and beer and wine making are "hobbies". Can you BELIEVE THAT?

What kinda thinking leads to that?
