Our Kroger only has choice black angus flats for 5.99 lbs. average 6 lbs.
Called butcher shop. 3.43 lbs, 13-15 lbs choice packers.
What y'all think? Looking at Memorial Day brisket.

I'm a brisket virgin, but I have decided I don't want to try it until I can get a whole packer.Was that $3.43/lb for the packer? I would go with that.Funny- I spent my lunch break calling around and could't find one. I can order one from my Publix but it is like $5.50/#...ouch!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Do the packer. Their both choice. I may waffle if the butcher had select grade. Just test them out for the flopiest one.
