Made a deep dish pizza with a little help from @griffin's blog. Topping were cheese, cheese, more cheese, Italian sausage, peppers, red onion, and Furmano pizza sauce.

Looks great! Can you buy Furmano's in grocery stores in your area? I don't believe I have seen it before.Somewhat random question- but does anyone have a trick for removing the pie from the CI skillet once it is cooked? I manage to do it with a couple of spatulas and help from my wife...but it is a bit scary .Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I bought the sauce at Wally World. My local grocer also carries it.
For removal, I used a wide metal spatula and then came under the other side with my grill spatula. Had the stone right next to the pie, so removal was quick.Mark Annville, PA -
Oh my does that pizza look good. Would have loved to see a pic of a sliced piece! I gotta do a pie soon!
What temp and how long did you cook it? TIA.

Cooked at 450 for 35 minutes. Platesetter legs down with spacers between skillet and platesetter. Sorry, couldn't take pics of sliced piece. The family and guests were hungry. It looked just like the sliced pieces on Griffin's blog.Mark Annville, PA

@SmokeyPitt, I've had great success getting the pizza out of the pan by running a fork or regular (dinner style) knife around the outer edge, and then using the fork or knife to lever under and lift the pizza and slide it onto a cooling rack.LBGE - St. Louis, MO; MM & LBGE - around 8100' somewhere in the CO Front Range

I run a regular dinner knife all around the edge to make sure its not sticking and then use a thin spatula to get under it while tilting the CI Skillet. Sometimes two spatulas are needed.
