Got my new cast iron grate yesterday, it's sweet. Also found a big crack in my platesetter the other day. I went down to the dealer and with no questions asked, they gave me a new one. Got to love that three year warranty.

I got it from Craycort. $69.00 for the grate. It's a bit pricy but the fact you can remove a grate section to add smoke wood is nice. You can look it up on amazon.com

I thought about the Craycort as well. The sections remove and they make griddle sections etc. I had to go with the 2 tier though. It's all personal pref, and te Craycort is a nice piece of gear.

Three year warranty? I thought it was lifetime to the original buyer. Sounds like the Craftsman "lifetime warranty" Look out for that one.

The bbq pit boys did a video on these, they are great, you can switch out one of them with a skillet and other things, also as said, being able to just lift one section to access your lump/wood is awesome!

The egg itself is a lufetime, but platesetter is 3 yrs.

@BYS1981 Are there other parts of the egg with limited warranties {firebox, etc} ?

I think the metal bands are 5 yr, but the egg itself lifetime warranty.
