I'm so old I still have the Dress I wore the night the Titanic went down and I snuck into a life raft.

just turned 39 (YIKES)... but had my BGE for about 3 yrs, so that would put me @ about 36 when I bought it.
I agree that I think the "average" age of Eggers is a bit older - I'm figuring that's due to a couple of reasons:- The Egg is a big expenditure compared to a more traditional grill, so younger folks might not be as financially capable
- I dunno bout you guys, but when I was younger, my taste buds weren't as discerning - I mean, I used to think Mickey-D's was a good meal, and that Taco Bell was the "go to" for Mexican, and that Sizzler made good steaks!!! ) ... I'd never dreamed I could cook a steak as good as I do on the Egg, and the steaks we all make are BETTER than most "mid level" restaurants, and just as good as the high end ones!!
- If you're retired, you probably have a bit more "Free" time on your hands, so you need a hobby, and the Egg is the PERFECT thing to fill your spare time!!
so yeah, those are my thoughts as to why the Egghead community tends to be a bit ... shall we say... "more mature" <:-P
Don't get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup... Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. - Bruce Lee -

Just turned 28 a few weeks ago, my fiance rented out chef JJ's backyard (www.chefjjs.com) for a surprise bday party to support my addiction. it was an amazing night and chef JJ presented our party of around 20 with a great meal including a mushroom salad, halibut, lamb and a sweet corn souffle! Also a great selection of local wine local beer that the staff kept flowing all night. I have plenty more pics if you guys are interested, but BIG thanks to chef JJ and all of his crew at JJ's Backyard!
