Salmon grilled on Himalayan Salt Block

Monday Jackie wanted Grilled Salmon

Salmon seasoned with Holy Smoken Chipotle seasoning, butter, and lemon juice.

Egg is @ 450* for 1-hr to heat up the salt stone.

On for 3-min.

On the other side for 2-min.

Served with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts. We really like cooking on the salt block the fish is more moist it dose not dry out, I also used grape seed oil on the stone.

Can't wait to try cooking on the salt block. I have mine ordered. How many cooks can you get from one block?

Thanks Molly

Am doing a steak tonight and it will be my 9th or 10th cook. Lamb, pork chops, burgers.
-
The trick is use very little water when you clean it

I am hopeful I will get a lot of cooks out of mine given they are a little expensive. Would love to hear how the steak comes out. I love a slight salt to my steaks and have been using kosher salt. Can't wait to try my salt block out.

The salt block does not really impart much salt flavor.
More like a high heat cook that retains lots of moisture.
Look around lots of good info.
