Ode to a forum

With all due respect to the OP; I have yet to witness but one individual (we are talking but one former active member here aren't we?) bring down an entire forum to the level described over and over again here lately. If this is indeed the case, perhaps this individual has done this membership a favor in respect to what is truly important in building a sound forum family...as opposed to what needs to be simply ignored on a daily basis for "reality's sake".
The administrator of this forum has recently posted a sticky at the top of this page reminding members to provide something regarding subject matter (more important than a single poster?) that most every single member on this forum pretty much ignores for whatever reason.
Yet when ONE individual comes in here and very simply pushes a few buttons...the entire forum is somehow lost and long term friendships are suddenly on the rocks?
This forum does not allow a simple mouse move to reveal what is under the topic heading...period.
So if posters don't start doing what the admins. ask (and soon); this forum's demise won't be the fault of any single person...but the members themselves believing that nothing needs to change (see knee jerk reactions to 'reality') or as the result of a 'by gosh I'll post however I damn well want to' mentality (or both).

Again, all due respect to the OP and everybody who has responded. There are simply a lot of other forums out there to choose from that many quality posters will eventually gravitate to if the two points above don't start being addressed...and soon.
