Tomato Pie question.

I'm taking a stab at the tomato pie recipe today and was wondering if anyone has used sour cream instead of mayo? I have a hard time imagining cooking a cup of mayo...freaks me out a little. Or maybe it's because I haven't finished the first cup of coffee yet.
Any other tips would be helpful.
Thanks in advance

    BucsFanJim,
I have always used the mayo on the tomato pies....You really don't taste the mayo.

    BucsFanJim,
Hi...use the mayo. Trust me...it's wonderful and it's a tried and true Southern recipe that has been around for years. Sour cream could curdle slightly and will make the pie runny. I have used 3/4 cup mayo in the past and that works too. Don't use low fat mayo either. You will love the pie. I think I'll make one today too. Peggy

    YB,
Great pictures... my bro has tomatoes coming out his ears right now from his hydoponic garden so I'll make one for him too.
    Can't wait to try it.
