    Yeah! Stop scaring a newbie! ;) Seriously though, I appreciate all the feedback. I will look for some serious misalignment. And if it's seriously misaligned, I will go with plan B. Which...I don't know what Plan B is yet. Right now, I'm just going with I hope that everything is ok with it and hope that the person who put it together knew what he was doing!

    I can't imagine what could be wrong with a floor model. If there is anything wrong with it, it will be covered under warranty.

    As a large egg owner of 14 years, I can tell you they are pretty indestructible (obviously not if its gets dropped or has an accident). It is truly a workhorse and the minor repairs that come up from time to time are no big deal. On my 14 year old egg, I have only replaced the bottom vent and that is it.

    Go get the large and start cooking Girl!

    I'm guessing after you get your egg and much less than a year has passed you will ask yourself why you waited so long to get a BGE to cook your meals on. ;) Wishing you the best. Tim

    As a dealer I can tell you that I only sell floor models. My staff is trained to assemble them correctly and do the bill test. The only customer complaints I have had in 15 years is from the people that put them together themselves.
