Heritage, American Bronze Turkey
Nessmuk
Posts: 251
After reading the article in the Kansas City Star last Wednesday, I ordered one.[p]Check Google, American Bronze,to read the article.[p]I will smoke it, indirect @ 250 to 300, with the placesetter & a drip pan.[p]I will post the results. [p]I will brine it overnight & mist it every 30 minutes with olive oil & apple juice.[p]The stuffing will be made separately in the oven.[p]I will smoke a "bone-in" turkey breast horizontially in the pellet smoker. I will stuff the cavity with veggies & discard them when done.[p]

Nessmuk,
Hey, stopped in to see you a few weeks ago. You were out of the office but sect. said she would give message. I tried google and had no luck. Do you have the link to the Star?[p]CWM

Nessmuk,
Why mist it? IMHO, opening and closing the dome will make the temp fluctuate too much. Set it and forget it, and you won't be sorry. Just my two-cent's worth!
Cheers,
Gretl

Gretl,[p]I'm with you Gretl. All that misting is just a fancy excuse to peek. Leave the lid closed!!
