I want to post some photos of recent eats and read FAQ, which said I have to post the photos to a site and then access them from the forum. I guess thats a bit over my head. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks, JW

I use my mobile me account but you can use any hosting type service like photobucket.

What i do is just copy the loacation url of the photo, click on the image (img) button above the box where you make a post copy that address , then click the img button again to close and it should show your photo in your post

  • Well I suggest using photobucket.

    Open a photo bucket account.

Upload your photos to photo bucket.

Open your browser to photobucket and also open a tab to bge forum.

On bge forum select post new topic an write whatever you want for text.

Click img button in the board code line above msg body.

Go to photobucket and mouse over photo you want to post. You will see a line of choices underneath photo. Go to the bottom an click on img link. Then copy this. Go back to bge message and paste. Do this for as many photos as you want to post. After the last one click the img tab again above message on bge site.

    Then click submit.

    This works for me.

    Hope I explained it ok.

It sounds like you are starting from scratch so that is where I will begin.

The following is going to be a little long, however, once you go through the steps the entire process is very quick and easy.

Go to photobucket.com and open a free account.

    Next.

Take your picture, put it on your computer and compose it as you want it to look. Size the picture to something under 600 pix in the biggest direction. If the picture portrait (vertical) max 600 pix tall. If landscape (horizontal) then max 600 pix wide and save the picture.

Now, back to photobucket and you will see a link to upload the picture from your computer. That step should be pretty obvious, but if you have problems ask for help.

The picture is uploaded into photobucket. and you will see it in your albums.

You are now ready to get the picture into the post.

Do not be concerned with the "Barcode:" provided in as you post your topic or reply.

Now for the rest of the instructions, member Gator Bait wrote a very nice quick & easy steps. There is no sense in my retyping so click on the following link. You will see how easily this is.

If you find you have additional questions, ask for help.
