I like to do mine direct at about 375 to 400 on a raised grill. It takes right at about 1 hour. Add some mesquite chips when you put the bird on-after grill is stablized. Never turn the bird and when the skin shrinks up about 1/4" from the butt edge of the thighs they're usually done. I cook till the breast meat is at 170.
