Fifty-six teams competed in this weekend"s KCBS contest in Salisbury, MD. Free Range BBQ finished seventh overall, and DizzyPig 12th overall. Free Range got two calls to the stage with a second in ribs and a seventh in chicken. The Big Green Egg is a mudder my friends, performing brilliantly while the rain came down in buckets for most of the weekend. [p]They had a special Purdue chicken category in addition to all the usual categories (Salisbury is the land of Purdue), and our own Mr Earl came up with a heavenly creation of tandoori chicken that I hope he will reprise at Waldorf next month. [p]The folks running the contest did a great job in the face of great challanges from Mother Nature. We look forward to kicking off the season there again next year. [p]Brett

    <p />Yo Brett!
Big congrats to you, Max and Hillard (missing from the picture). Fantastic cooking against a serious lineup! We were a bit disappointed not to get to do "the walk", but was really nice to see a half dozen or so teams using dizzy stuff getting calls to the stage (or, better worded "a 50 yard dash through the rain to the stage!"[p]Way to go guys!

Nature Boy,Almost need one person on a team just to talk EGG to the public. Had "CC" big Charlie and Dustain,a future member of my wife's family helping work the crowd this weekend. One lady walked up and wanted to know if they were for sale.[p]Good Eggin' to You,

Congrats to all the egg teams... Sounds like Salisbury might have been wetter than Winchester. In Winchester it started raining at before sundown Friday and didnt stop till daybreak. But we had a beautiful day on Saturday. [p]Egg Team Results From Winchester out of 52 Teams...
