Brats smoked with hickory.

My Beautiful wife made the summer salad of home grown cucumbers, and shallots in a pickling solution. Goes wonderful with Dijon.

I rediscovered the potential of cooking for 3 on the Mini Max. I will be doing so many more meals on it now that we are retired.

These were Kirkland brand from Costco, and from my previous experience making sausage, these were exceptional. I cooked to an IT of about 200°F and they remained surprisingly juicy, with excellent flavor, and were well proportioned for the money spent.

We made some and froze the rest using a vacuum sealed bag.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Kirkland Brats from Costco cooked on my Mini Max, while sipping on a Rum Punch recipe we brought back from the Caribbean.

Watch out for a Rum Slushie formula coming soon.

I cooked them to about 200°F IT, using hickory, and I can’t emphasize enough the enhancement of just one small fist sized chunk of Hickory added to the flavor.

I let them sit for just a few minutes before jamming them in my face with no restraints, full force.

I will absolutely be firing the Mini Max up for more cooks, it is foolish to just use it for camping, tailgating, travel, etc.

Rediscovery is not a bad thing.

    Neither is Rum Punch.

Very much inspired by this post (as most of yours do)!

we use the minimax most out of all the sizes. Just can’t believe how efficient it is. Might only refill it once out of three cooks..

Adding Kirkland brats to the shopping list this week..
    and a new slushie recipe?!?!!!

Yeah, we had rum punch every day (morning noon and night) and became very fond of the recipe that was provided to us by our house keeper.

It is very simple, but we are evaluating some tweaks, and the ability we have to walk after finishing a 20oz Yeti.

Once I have it, you will have it.

That look fantastic. The MMX is our go to Egg for the two of us … unless it’s pizza which needs the large Egg for sheer diameter. :)

I get it. We use the XL for all cooks for more than 3-4 and all the roasts. Mini Max is the beast.

I really enjoy it, and it got to temp in a hurry.  Its capacity will fool a lot of people.
