Hi gang! Just back from Antarctica and some other travels. Unfortunately only the orcas were allowed to eat penguins which was amazing to watch. And @lousubcap you were correct the sub dive was spectacular! Hope to be back to egging soon!

Incredible journey, Beanhead! Photos of the sub dive would be clutch.BeanHead said:

Once I get unpacked I will post an OT with some details… this was around 147m they say the sponges are several hundred years old.

@BeanHead - I was hoping your hiatus was linked to your Antarctic cruise. Spectacular photos. Standing by for the standalone thread next year!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. @Botch checking in on you. Hope all is well.

+1 on that. I was looking at an older post from him where he gave some tips on cold smoking and then thought it has been a minute since I have seen him.

Agree on the concern re: @botch. Hasn’t posted since end of Jan. For a previously daily poster, he sure hasn’t been active. Hopeful that there is nothing amiss.

I met badinfluence at a small eggfest up in Rock Falls, IL shortly b4 he passed - quite a character. As I recall he was a VN vet who had suffered injuries which led to his short life.kl8ton said:@NPHuskerFL -where did he go?

Sorry, I'm back.

My internet provider went T.U. on 31 January, couldn't get the new provider in until just this morning. Kinda woke me up just how much of my life I'm wasting online, I need to make some changes. Got a lot of reading (books/mags) done, and some cleaning! The Winter Olympics came at an opportune time; I got fairly good OTA TV reception the first two weeks, then nothing; I had the TV re-scan for available channels and it's working fine now. Love the Winter Olympics!
Old provider: 26 Mbps download, $110/mo (slow, but I could watch a movie, surf, and talk on the phone w/o buffering, so it was enough)
New provider: 668 Mbps download, $35/mo !!!
