“Joe Rogan” Lamb Curry

Was looking at various recipes to make Rogan Josh and came across one Reddit commenter who called it “Joe Rogan” lamb. The comment did not garner any responses, so I’ll never know if it was a simple mistake or intentional. Either way, I probably found it funnier than I should have.
Bought a lamb leg and portioned it out. Worked diligently to remove as much fat as was possible.

Used Urvashi Pitre’s Rogan Josh recipe from her Instant Pot Indian cookbook. I love that book. Couldn’t find that exact recipe online, so am linking to another, similar one of hers from her Two Sleevers website. https://twosleevers.com/pressure-cooker-lamb-rogan-josh/
Made rice infused with star anise and cardamom pods. Used some Better Than Bouillon too.
Also whipped up an Indian take on Brussels Sprouts, as I had many begging to be used. https://ministryofcurry.com/indian-spiced-crispy-brussels-sprouts/
Served it with naan and a side of the mango chutney I made last week.

Thanks for looking.

Sonny boy just asked if he would be having llama meatballs for lunch at school. He meant this cook! 😂😂

That sure looks great. When I make lamb/ mutton curry I look for either blade/ shoulder chops or even better knuckles
We love having plenty of bones to suck on( geez that doesn’t sound good😂)
Were you happy with your homemade chutney?Greensboro North Carolina

Thanks, @johnmitchell. Yes, the chutney hit the spot. When searching recipes, I considered both Indian varieties, including lots of spices, or a more neutral recipe. I ended up going with the latter and it paired really nicely.

I'd hit it."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike
"The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand." - Deep Throat -
Very nice! The recipe you linked seems pretty straightforward, aside from some fancy spices that I would find hard to get. Like the idea of doing a marinade with yogurt.

@Paolo
If you want to dabble in yoghurt marinades, I highly recommend Greek chicken with yoghurt marinades. They come out so juicy and flavourful. -

@Paolo try this https://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1205922/turkish-marinade?utm_source=community-search&utm_medium=organic-search&utm_term=turkish+marinade
note: that 3 tablespoons was actually fresh lemon juice. -
