Was posting my Thanksgiving cook and frustrated with the upload problem, some pics wouldn't upload, although all pics are from the same batch and in JPG format.

I overcame the problem by doing a dummy edit in Paint and 'save as' JPG over the original.

I do when I do not add any text first.

    Not the case here.
I usually start my post with a bunch of random letters  as placeholders, like this:

    zzzz

    zzz

    zzz

I then insert pic one at a time between them, that guarantes pics are in the sequence I want. Once all the pics are in place I replace the placeholders with text.

I've always posted some text, then a photo, then some more text, then another photo, and that's resulted in everything posting in order for me.
Until last week.  In my balsamic pork loin steak with asparagus thread, I was able to post the first pic, but it wouldn't take my second, tried many different things.  It posted fine with a separate, later post.  I don't understand, but it's not that big a deal.

Last night I was getting "image failed to upload"  errors. I get the blue progress bar, then after a couple of seconds the fail message.  If I tried the same picture again sometimes it worked, sometimes not.

    That was last night.

@HannahGreeneEgg It looks like it might be having issues with loading pictures again. Just a heads up. Thanks!

I'm still getting randomly "image failed to upload" so a good cook report turns in just a couple of pics available. Frustrating

i have had a lot of difficulty posting with that “comment will appear after approval” pop up. then it totally disappears, no draft etc. without knowing they will ever show up it’s “do a double post or just stop posting”.  so now i will post a “.” then edit it to avoid wasting time typing into a black hole.

this is the admin stuff that would be worthwhile
    1) delete the accounts that are obvious trolls with the crazy ad things.
    2) delete their posts
    3) delete the accounts that are attempts at looking human (usually post low value comments on ancient posts).
    4) revisit whatever recent updates were done that impact photo processing
    5) look into the comment approval pop up what is flagging it. it might be my session, private browsing, etc.  i don’t think it’s the words / content but ya ever know.

@Buckwoody Egger - you should send your above suggestions to @HannahGreeneEgg.

@HannahGreeneEgg - I am also experiencing what @Paolo is describing.  Have a cook with several pics I'd like to post, but only a single pic can be attached.  When attempting to add additional pics the message "image failed to upload" is generated.

Said it before...it's painful but I work around the pesky problem by opening the photo in PAINT (laptop) and 'save as' .jpg over the original, without doing any editing.

This has been flagged to the Vanilla team and they are looking into to! Chatting with them today so hoping to have more answers after that. Thanks!

@Canugghead - Thanks for the tip.  I use IrfanView for a photo editor, resaving the pics from JPG to JPG worked for three of the them.  The fourth one I had save as PNG to get it to upload.
