^^^ I found it... interesting... that kash patel ordered the entire FBI to NOT respond to the DOGE-bag's request for a Bullet Paper of each agent's five accomplishments from last week.

I wouldn’t put much stock in that, Botch.  All it signals to me is a lack of coordination among the sh!theels.

"The new administration is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations. This largely aligns with our vision," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a reporter from state television.

A bit more on the above from @DoubleEgger:

Kremlin says US foreign policy now ‘aligns’ with Moscow’s vision

    Mar 3, 2025, 6:30am EST
    Europe
    Russian President Vladimir Putin

    The News

The Kremlin said US foreign policy now ‘largely aligns’ with Moscow’s vision after a heated exchange between US President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the White House on Friday.

“The new administration is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on state television Sunday, the Washington Post reported. “This largely aligns with our vision.

“If the political will of the two leaders, President Putin and President Trump, is maintained,” Peskov added, “this path [to rapprochement] can be quite quick and successful.”

The heated altercation sent shockwaves through the global community, underscoring Washington’s pivot toward advocating Russian narratives around the war in Ukraine.

Trump and Vance accused Zelenskyy of being ungrateful to the US for providing military assistance and said he was “gambling with World War III” over not making a deal with Russia.

The argument between Kyiv and its one-time ally is a “gift” for Russia’s efforts in Ukraine and its larger vision for Russia’s future, Konstantin Remchukov, editor of a Russian propaganda outlet, said."

Report from Nebraska:  Both of my senators and my rep in Congress maintain "move along, nothing to see here" as regards Russia.  The boilerplate responses to my inquiries are uniform and disheartening.  As regards items of relevance closer to home, the farmers here are anticipating a bleak 2025 (ranchers are looking fine, thank you).  Expectations are welfare payments well in excess of the 2019 $27B figure to stave off collapse of the ag sector in 2026.

    When will they ever learn?

Short answer is that the foundation for politicians is to:
    a. get elected and then,
    b. get reelected.
All after that is a bonus.  So their whole approach to any policy issue is "How do I position myself to do the most good for my reelection prospects. "
Looking thru that lens the whole game is quite clear.  All the campaign rhetoric is just to ensure a or b above.  I admit this is a broad brush approach and there may be a few with a spine but definitely not in the ranks of the R's.

And this is what I don't understand - why would you want to compromise so much to just stay in that job. What do you have to look forward to or look back on. I kept selling myself out.

Ukraine really got screwed over by the US and Russia starting in the early 90s. If you get nuclear weapons, never give them up or you’ll end up like Ukraine.
