Pork belly abt?

Has anyone tried pork belly in abt instead of pulled pork or smokies? I know it would basically be very bacon/pork belly forward.

  • Were you thinking you’d cook the belly in advance, like one does with pulled pork?

I think if you’re also wrapping in bacon then that wouldn’t balance too well, but it might depend on what else you used to stuff the jalapeños with, like cream cheese or whatnot.

These things are always crowd pleasers so I say go for it and let us know how they turn out!

Jalas, pork belly and whatever else loaded and then wrapped in bacon.  Gotta be a winner.  Chopping the belly and making a mix with cheese of a preferred sort and other goodies sounds like a fun project.
Look for those Texas sized jalas making the rounds.  You can really load 'em up.
You can load an ABT with anything you want and always a hit.

Ran out of time and went with shredded chicken and a slice of mango on each. I love putting some sweet in such as mangos or peaches. Turned out awesome as usual

Thanks for the return serve.  Too often those don't happen.  Glad they were a hit.
