I was on the old forum. I hated it's architecture / layout / whatever. Vanilla is so much better. Smh.

I started on the original forum in 2010 after lurking for a couple years and learning how to Egg. Stayed away from here 'cause was raised with " you're known by the company you keep".After retirement and reputation no longer a big concern I became more active here. Plus, as @kl8ton mentioned, Vanilla and the implementation here is so cutting edge.LBGE, LBGE-PTR, 22" Weber, Coleman 413GGreat Plains, USA

I bought my first large BGE back in 1996, when I was 10. Does that make me an old timer? I found the original forum in 2008 or so.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

Caught the end of the other site in 2012. Bought my first Egg, an XL that summer. Met a lot of folks from the site at the Eggfest. Remember some amazing cooks on the old site. Mostly from Biker and a gentleman that would visit often from Mexico. Both had jaw dropping amazing cooks.
