OT: Not Your Typical Gold Rush

My son was down this weekend and wanted a Gold Rush. We each had one, and as I was putting the remaining honey simple syrup in the fridge, I saw some fresh blueberries and it sparked an idea. Blueberry and lemon is a great combination so I decided to try the following:

- Today I blitzed the fruit and pressed it through a chinois to remove the pulp.

- Mixed the purée with an equal part of honey, then mixed that with an equal part of water.

- Then mixed the cocktail with the standard proportions:

      - 2 oz Woodford Rye
      - 3/4 oz syrup
      - 3/4 oz lemon juice

Will definitely make this again.
