Is this permatex acceptable?

 Curious as to why? I’ve never had an issue with ultra copper. To answer your question, I wouldn’t use the muffler putty. It’s basically liquid glass or sodium silicate

Mine burned up. Was thinking the higher temp would help.  Liquid glass doesn’t sound very appetizing tho.

I don’t think I would devour the gasket no matter what the condiment, but especially not permatex.

I don’t think I would devour the gasket no matter what the condiment, but especially not permatex.

That was a typo I couldn’t edit because of poor vanilla formatting.
