Next time I will let the broth reduce and thicken more, but this recipe is very tasty and highly recommend.

That looks awesome.  I keep galangal in my freezer for just that purpose.

I did a little double take when I read the label on the galangal package about it possibly containing lead - then I saw it was a California statement - used it anyhow.
