Do you remember the year you bought BGE branded charcoal?
Over the years, our valued customers, better known as EGGheads, have played a pivotal role in shaping our company into what it is today. With that in mind, I have a question for you all: Can you recall the year you purchased BGE branded charcoal? We have conflicting records regarding when we started "selling" this product and who better to ask than the knowledgeable EGGheads themselves? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

The NakedWhiz had tested it in 2007 but I'm not sure how long it was on the market prior"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

I can’t help, it predates my first egg.
Also, the tone from The Buffalo has changed. Did the prior Buffalo get a new position?Maybe your purpose in life is only to serve as an example for others? - LPL

I probably bought a bag between '08 and '12, but can't get closer to that, and used it on my now-deceased Medium. When I bought my Large late '23, I was offered a free bag of any charcoal the store had. I chose Fogo Super Premium.

When I bought my first BGE in 1996 from the Big Green Egg store in Tampa, they sold me a green bag of BGE charcoal for $11.95...still have the receipt. The whole store was only BGE stuff at that time. Now it's The Outdoor Kitchen store and they sell many other brands.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
