Just canvassing input on what you all choose to buy at restaurant supply stores.
Any niche items that are a particularly good deal or unavailable elsewhere?

Kitchen tongs, 1/2 & 1/4 sheet pans, precut parchment for those pans, glassware (everyday wine glasses, they don't match but are all good quality with thin rims and cheap), whisks, paring knives, spider and other serving spoons, forks, etc.

This is pre covid though, haven’t been there since…
1) Same price for any sized sheet pans, 1/4 1/2 3/4(or 2/3?), full, $7.99 IIRC
2) Commercial kitchen knives retired from their knife sharpening service and resharpened, chef $5, boning $2 or 2.50.

I only buy my Restaurants from Restaurant Supply stores. I don't buy them any where else.

One of my best purchases was a stainless bar blender. That that thing in home use has withstood many years of use.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

Pizza screens. I use them on my eggs to cook small items that have a tendency to fall through the cooking grid. Shrimp, breakfast sausages, pumpkin seeds, etc. And, of course, pizza.

If you have a GFS (Gordon Food Service) in your area there is no membership, but they carry much of the same merchandise. One thing that comes to mind is their delicious Tavern Cheese. It is a garlic enhanced cheese spread for crackers - but I warn you it is difficult to stop eating it once started!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

I purchased aluminum foil from GFS once. Really thin stuff. I had it more than 10 years over a few moves. The box was getting grungy but it was still dispensing!RRP said:If you have a GFS (Gordon Food Service) in your area there is no membership, but they carry much of the same merchandise.
