dry brining steaks

Hello Everyone - I bought some steaks with expiration date this Wednesday.  If I want to dry brine them, can I do that on Wednesday and eat them Friday?  Or should they be consumed by Wednesday no matter what?

    Meh on the expiration date , dry brine, for me 24 hours on steak 48 on roasts …1/2 steaks a few hours

    Eat 'em when you want.  I'm with @lkapigian regarding dry brine duration.  However, for the record, in his case those 1/2" steaks are Japanese A5's. 
    That is a very dangerous rabbit hole.
