No argument with the comment that this country has lost its F'ing mind.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he missing the point?

One song is about a woman who wants to have sex and the other is about a woman who doesn't want to, keeps saying "no", and still isn't allowed to leave?

Isn't the part that is underlined above the point?

Let me guess… you’re one of those that can’t explain what a woman is.

It is my impression you live in a world defined by stereotypes, so I am curious, what space do women occupy in that realm?  Are they part of "We" or "Them"?

@Wildman is more a fan of Ted Nugent's song "Jailbait" and misogyny is his cohorts prime directive.

    Um, no.

But again, that isn't the point is it?

The point is that when a woman - or any person - says "no", doesn't it mean "no"?

And unlike you, I try not to "guess".  I try to understand.

Do your comments suggest that you don't think that "no" really means "no"?  Because that is all this is about.  Anything else you bring into the discussion is just an attempt to distract from the actual issue.

cardi b is on tape getting guys to come over for sex, drugging them and then robbing them when she was a stripper. the old song is a guy trying to get a girl to stay overnight. one of those is actually illegal ;)

Music and online video is the closest I’ve come to having an actual woman in my bed in years.

Fair enough.  It doesn't seem like either should be promoted.

my church going grandma loved those old movies and songs, but i agree to a point.  cardi b nicknamed as a gutter rat though seems appropriate.

I didn't hear a word about sex in the old song. You, as a butt hurt lib, must read more into it than is there however. You are looking for something to be upset about when it isn't there. Maybe he just wanted the lady to stay and talk or snuggle.

Again, questions rather than assumptions or guesses, will serve you better.  You're way off on your assumption about my politics.

Neither of the songs mentioned in the video bother me.  But I can respect the fact that a lot of people are bothered by the obscenity of Cardi B - AND that a lot of women have had conversations like the one in the older song that are preludes to uncomfortable situations on a variety of levels, such that they find the lyrics to that song "rapey". (I think I read or heard that somewhere).  If they do, they do.  I can't change that.  All I can do is respect it.  Just like I respect a military veteran that still responds negatively to loud noises.

I find it interesting that it is inconceivable to you that a conservative can respect other people - AND that is the group with which you choose to align yourself.
