I have a large that I've had for 8-9 years and ready to go for a controller (getting lazy I guess at 70).  Everything I can find here on controllers is 6, 8 10 years old, did I miss something?  I'm looking for WiFi and quality.  I liked what I saw on the Flame Boss 400, but still looking.  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Can't really remember how long I've had the Smobot, but it was part of their initial roll-out of devices. I also have a large and I can say that it works wonderfully and I wouldn't want to be without it. I know there's also strong support on here for other options, too.

Get the FB 500 over the 400. Having an adjustable, large, easy to navigate display right at your grill is worth the money. Brother also has one of the newer BBQ Guru controllers and really likes it.

I've had an Auber Instruments, BBQ Guru, Party Q, Rocks Stoker, and Flameboss 500. Not one is perfect. They all have their flaws. Lots of people like the Flameboss 500. It has been okay. My Auber Instruments was the most basic and all it did was work. I gave it to my brother-in-law and he still uses it after about 12 years. Auber has a Wifi model now but I have no idea how that works. The Flameboss is easy to connect to Wifi. Don't get me started on hooking up the Stoker to the internet....

Great to see you posting again

I don't use anything on the Egg, but I do use a FB500 on my Gravity Feed
