Here in Iowa, we call these days the evapotranspiration days of summer.  Some call it corn-sweat.

While not as cool as the ancient Romans thinking a star makes it hotter, it is pretty cool what thousands of acres of corn do to the "feels like" temperature here in the midwest.

"According to the University of Illinois Extension of the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences, at its peak, corn can “sweat” or release up to four thousand gallons of water vapor, per acre, per day, into the atmosphere."

Not to be confused with the corn-sweats, which are similar to the meat-sweats.

Great sport for people of all ages. Growing exponentially....... Just 3 years ago pickleball captured $50.8 million in retail racket sports sales, now it’s grown to $304.2 million !! Our small city of Hiawassee, GA has 14 dedicated outdoor courts on the shores of Lake Chatuge with mountain views as a backdrop. I never even heard of this sport until 3 years ago and now all of a sudden, people are fighting on tennis courts to use the tennis court to play pickleball instead of actual tennis. No wonder tennis is declining in the United States and other countries. The lazy version of tennis seems to be pickleball because the court is much smaller (run less) and you don’t have to hit the ball cleanly or with much technique like you do in tennis. chec this https://sportprofy.com/how-to-play-pickleball-on-a-tennis-court/
