WOW, Fish! You sure ate well this weekend!

I still have a quart of Happy Pappy sauce that I had frozen. It now resides at the back of my refrigerator and just doesn't come to mind often! I'll be egging some ribs sooner or later so I'll make a feeble attempt to remember! So thanks for the reminder

That is doing it up right. All looks great.  I will say that lobster in fly over country is definitely a high end buy.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

it was pricey here, went to a tourist trap down the street. flyover country must be the reason for our price increase, why sell local when you can ship it and double the profit. 16.99 for two pounds clams, i used to fill a laundry basket in 15 minutes. can blame that on climate change and a green crab invasion from the south over the last few decades, they destroy a mudflat

these were good, they were just unloading from iced boxes just off the boat, but i think fresh stone crab is better. always jealous

Like @lousubcap said… back here in fly over country (myself in IL) then enjoying lobsters like that on any regularity meant taking out a second mortgage or being a Chicago politician!

BUT besides that whenever I saw pictures of such vibrantly red lobsters I have always just assumed they were photo colored for the magazines and those lobsters had been dead and dried for months and then spray painted in a custom auto body shop!!

But it looks like you made me a believer! Thanks, fish!!!
  • Tour de force, right there. The colour of those lobsters makes them look almost fake.

I went quohogging with my father once. It didn't take me long to realize, once we got far enough out on the sand bar, he was stepping on both of my sneakers and sticking the quohog rake in my face, and my first thought was, that I have zero quohogs or quohog meat on my face, and he's probably really messing up my quohogging sneakers, the ass
