Brand new to the BGE, and loving it so far. Have grilled some chicken breast, smoked some ribs, and smoked a pork butt. Man were they all fantastic.
Bought a lg egg from a friend that came with a table, and some other accessories. One I have no idea what is, the table I’m not sure if it is Cypress or Pine. The chimney that came on it I would like to know if it is a better option than the daisey wheel that it originally came with, and if I wanted to remove it what’s the best way to remove it? Pics to follow thanks for any and all help.

That’s a Smoke Ware cap. Lots of fans here. As for removing it just lift it off! Except not when it is hot! As for that first picture I’m not sure! BTW that egg looks pristine and that band brand spanking new!

First pic appears to be the center post from that worthless multi tier grate they sold a decade or so ago. Had three grates and was good for maybe jerky if you wanted to tackle that on an egg.

As a total aside…that dome thermometer is reading 250 degrees! Do you really have a fire in the belly of the beast? If not…then you need to re-calibrate that thing!

Make sure you have a air gap between the bottom of the egg and your table or it will catch on fire!South of Columbus, Ohio.

I had a fire In the belly of the beast once. I only snuck in there thinking I could cook the beasts nipples from the inside out, but I think we both got a little weirded out, then I farted and all of a sudden the little oil lamp that I had .. to look at the inside nipples.. was sucked down near the sphincter, leaving me blind and the mist of poop smell I'm the si

The we shot across the medieval parking lot in a bloom of burnt beast undies.

Thanks all for the information. Alaskenassasin, I have a pave and original shoes under the egg. RRP, yes I was smoking my first pork butt when I took that picture. The friend had replaced the fire box and handle along with gasket as well. I did refinish the table and seal with spar urethane. Also bought a replacement grate (iron), thermometer, and cover. Keep looking for reasons to cook everything on this egg! Thanks again for everyone’s insight.
