4.5 lbs Picanha
Seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder
Grilled at 225-250 with two chunks of cherry and one chunk of hickory
Pulled at 120 degrees, upped the temp to 550 and seared two minutes each side
Turned out perfect with beautiful rendered fat cap that melted in the mouth like butter
Also grilled some potatoes seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder and rosemary

Spectacular.  Great cook.  I've never done it as a roast like that before.  I usually cut it into 3 or 4 steaks.

Nice. Good and rare. I know there was joy found at your table.

I did one similar method (minus the wood) unfortunately on a gas grill while on vacation. I have a second put away for a proper skewering at a date to be determined. What I did get out of it was a great flavorful beefy taste and  like yours, the fat cap was like candy.

@briwald - exceptional cook right there.  The cutting board $$ shot says it all.
