Shotgun shells - bulk Italian or Jimmy Dean?

Gonna make some shotgun shells for the first time this week. What do you guys use for sausage? My stores got 3 choices - bulk sweet and hot Italian and Jimmy Dean.

    I use whatever leftover I have , really depends on what you like … shotgun shells are super rich and we cut into bite size pieces, almost no way to eat a whole one so keep that in mind , I’d go spicy to get a one bite punch .. we prep a day ahead so it will help soften the shell, if not a quick parboil helps… also if you have a sausage stuffer, use it, makes the process a breeze
