I am looking for comments from anyone owning an XXL Egg

I've got one of the original XXL BGEs and I love it. Be aware that the original XXL is taller and heavier (at least that is my understanding) than the 2XL that is currently sold.
It is freakishly heavy and takes longer to heat up than my XL - and probably a lot longer than smaller eggs. Maneuvering the platesetter/ConvEGGtor in and out of it is a little bit of a core workout, but I enjoy that. It can hold a freakish amount of food - especially with a 2nd level rack. I bought a swing rack holder at my dealer and put an XL grate on it.
@DMW also has one and enjoys it. He can probably provide more insight.XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

I would say go for it, I have a primo xl and a top rack for it which is roughly 680 Sq inches total. It's a great bbq but sometimes I wish it was a little bigger.

Hard to find the XXL, it weighs much more than the 2XL, which is the current model and the one I have. I would assume it cooks the same as both have enormous charcoal capacity. I love my 2XL and I am glad I picked it up. I dont use it as often as I would like as I have more eggs than I should. I need more opportunity to use its size. But if you want to cook big, I recommend it.

Good comments, thanks.

I own and cook on all sizes. I think the XL is the best size to use.
