Since this thread has been sunk-for any here who are visiting this thread, and veering off topic a bit-I have a Ridge wallet (pictured above with the money clip) that I would gladly send to anyone who wants it.
First come-first served. Just PM me your snail mail address and it will be taken care of.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -

Nice score, @ozzie_Isaac, and very generous of you @lousubcap.
Here are my most commonly carried knives. Love both for different reasons. The Swiss Army is a money clip with a tiny but serviceable blade and a CR Impinda, which I’ve vowed to pocket carry, foregoing any concern for wear and tear. The Swiss is great for me - being a bit of a guitar plucker, nail maintenance is important. The money clip features small scissors and a file, which is great for repairing chipped nails while on the move. This little guy was purchased for my son at Christmas. Nathan’s Knife, by CRKT. We assembled it. It teaches the young the components and safe operation of a knife, with locking mechanism, before they are old enough to get their hands on steel. Pretty neat. My only critique is that the components fell apart too easily. I glued the non-moving parts into place and then treated it with a little mineral oil. -
All three of those are super cool! I especially like the wood knife due to the sentiment and time spent with your son.

My current EDC that I added a little over a year ago. Case small swell center jack. Love case knives. Have tactical and others brands but always seem to go back to case. It’s the perfect size no matter the short/pant selection for me.

Okay-I did not get sucked into the bourbon assisted rabbit hole vortex last night-but even in the cold light of day the force is still there. I'm feeling like 60-40 to go down the vortex induced rabbit hole for something I totally don't need.
But then I remind myself that life is not based on need alone.

@Ozzie_Isaac - suffice to say it is not a frivolous buy-but I am not yet totally committed as it could rank with another WTF did I just buy deal. And
The hook is a Benchmade 940 Osborne compliments of your Home Wrecker link.

I will keep enjoying this one until it dies.
My best friend served three tours in the War on Terror. His day job is to run a mechanic's shop for a transportation company with the US Army. He has worked most of his life to make sure we all sleep safely.
Years ago, while he was state-side, his shop had a Humvee come in for service. It had "seen action". While getting it back in shape, he found an ASEK under the back seat. This is an Aircrew Survival Egress Knife (ASEK). It has a canopy breaker/hammer, a knife blade, and and a strap cutter with honing rod and a screwdriver. The sheath has MOLLE loops and leg straps to attach to their uniform. I was honored when he gave it to me. He said I had supported him and his family during tough times and he knew I collected knives. Some day, I will make sure his son gets it.
In the meantime, I call it an EDC because it lives in my Jeep. I figure I will never rely on it for survival like its last owner did, but it never hurts to have handy.

For the record- in this quasi fogged evening I pulled the trigger. I will have to write the dispensation into my will (not the only deal). With two sons there has to be an arbiter who judges the winner of the best two-of-three rock-paper-scissors challenges for disputed property.
No worries as the 12 yo Van Winkle has been addressed. And yes-it is to be consumed!
Edit: I have paid more for a bottle of bourbon but it lacks staying power-as it should!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
@Langner91 - It will never die. Way to keep the knife and its background moving forward. @lousubcap you are going to enjoy that knife! Glad you gave in and decided to enjoy some of the fruits of your labor.

And here I am searching the interwebs for another EDC… Don’t really need another one but this thread makes me want another one 🤦🏼♂️.
Been looking at the new kershaw iridium duralock folding knife. -
@lousubcap

I pulled the trigger on the above. I will have to write the dispensation into my will (not the only deal). A day later and I am still good with the buy although this is a totally well beyond my skill-set and needs.

Those are pretty sweet knives. There are lots of times I could imagine that tool coming in handy.

the blade side is thick, designed to be hit with a hammer to cut thru big tough rope, not just used as a normal knife for slicing.

1. Boy Scout Knife my Dad gave me in Cub Scouts
2. First knife I ever bought. Carried this in Jr High and High School (unlike now it was fine)
3. Not sure where this came from
4. Gift one Xmas, I use this in holster on belt every camping trip
5. Bought after #4 to use as EDC when I worked in Facilities Mgmt
6. Given to me as gift, never really use it.
7. Been considering a knife like this, found when cleaning out FIL house when he moved into home. Carry it around on weekends.
*I either dont leave the house or fly on planes so EDC is not really needed
*Not pictured a small Swiss Army knife in Medicine cabinet used for scissors and occasionally cutting some package open.XLBGE, LBGE, Charbroil Gas Grill, Weber Q2000, Old Weber Kettle, Rectec RT-B380, Yeti 65, Yeti Hopper 20, RTIC 20, RTIC 20 Soft Side - Too many drinkware vessels to mention.
Not quite in Austin, TX City Limits
Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting. The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president. -
I am brand new to the BGE community getting a Large Egg for Christmas. I am a long time collector of Buck 110's. I will have to pick one of my green knives when I am cooking on the BGE.

@Chilebrown - As above but way to find a theme and then do it justice. Great collection.
But moving on to your BGE acquisition-Congrats and welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.
