The meat temp didn’t jump when the probe went nuts which makes me wonder if it was accurate. The fan just stopped at that point (I think), which is correct. I would check calibration of the dome temp probe. Could you have bumped the stoker fan damper open or developed a big leak somehow?______________________________________________I love lamp..

Working as it should, but something changed. Air leak, water pan boiled off, or the fire simply shifted and the probe is now in reach of the infrared heat or a flame. Check the dome temp and move the probe.

The current working theory is the grate probe went haywire and the reading jumped. After whacking it and repositioning, the accurate temp was reached.My dome thermometer also exploded on this cook. I tried to remove it to calibrate, and the dial popped right off. Not a great day for my thermos..Large BGE and Medium BGE
