Relegated To The PK

- Visiting my BIL and sis (West Palm Beach) for the Holidays. My sister is having a party tonight for some of their neighbors.
- BIL has the XL fired up with a brisket and he is closing in on finex. He has his MBGE in action also with some “musical fruit” (beans) and his KBQ is decked out with a bunch of baby backs.
- I have been in the penalty box with the PK trying to make myself relevant with these Beef Chuck short ribs. We shall see in about 40 min. These heathens are wanting to sauce these puppies.

Do your thing! The PK is no slouch. Your grub could very well outshine everything else!

Sometimes you have to reach way down by your boot strings and just work wif what you got. That’ll be a winner.

You have shown him the way. Sweet lineup of rigs to play with.  As is always the case-It's the cook, not the cooker.  Knowledge, experience and a quick read thermo can nail any cook on any rig.
Even jet jockeys can appreciate that!!   =)

    - Yes it is PK original with the “Lil More” grid, not sure of the year on this one. The one my daughter bought me is pushing 14 years old now. This one is much newer.

    - My sister hates me (I like it) I got the BIL into cooking/grilling/smoking.
    - That KBQ used to be mine. I gave it him as a partial payment for getting my sister out of the house years ago.
    - Plus I felt sorry for him, he was a chAir Force “Baloney Slicer” pilot (Herc’s).
    - With all the above short comings he is a great guy.

Outshine him with your yield.  Let him know he is the Beta BIL in the family.

J/K sounds like a huge win overall.

@6baluts - what were the proteins in the paella as I really enjoy that cook? Cook it outside over a fire or on the clock box?  It is definitely a mise en place undertaking.
I roll a paella about every 4-5 weeks.
Props to your BIL- he must like the couch   B).
    Merry Xmas!

I want one but don't know why. I have plenty cookers but want a PK.  I hear about the great steaks. Any advantages over the egg?
