So to all he used the scratch kit first with his drill because it come with a drill attachment.
Then he hand buffed it then go back with the hand rub and lightly rub on then use a micro fiber rag clean off then take a damp paper towel wipe down then last step is one more micro fiber towel to clean.
Takes time to get in all the dimples!! But turns out brand new!

Wow looks new

I was just thinking mine needed a little cleaning this weekend. The dust tends to really stick to that greasy residue that gets on them. Mine doesn't sit out in the rain to get washed off.
I will have to give it a little TLC soon.

Good timing for this, thank you! I was trying to clean mine this past weekend and while it looked better it doesn't look anywhere near as nice as the pic you posted.LBGE, 28” BS, Weber Kettle, HCI 7.8 SE Texas

Nice. I used to wax my Eggs annually, but gave up on more recent years given the competing responsibilities.

I occasionally scrape the grid between cooks, so... pass.
If I'm waxing my eggs, it may mean something entirely different.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
I plan to put this on my calendar so I remember to do it on a regular cadence.
Every 20 years should be often enough.current: | Large BGE | Genesis 1000 | Genesis E330 | 22 inch Kettle | Weber Summit Kamado

My XL cracked and had to be replaced often enough that it didn’t require polishing! It always looked like new.

It’s not for everyone, but waxing them with food grade mineral oil and wax really shines and it’s something I do occasionally while cooking on another egg. Here is a typical impact of doing this. I would mainly do it when selling an egg. People fall over themselves to buy these because they believe somehow they were taken better care of.

1x or 2x a year I will take a wet Microfiber and knock the dust off mine.

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting. The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president. -
