Elon’s belt buckle is the worst part.
It is an impressive feat of engineering and materials stress analysis.
Surely also a danger to those in his immediate proximity.  It's all fun and games until a buckle blasts off Elon's belt, and someone loses an eye.

It maybe part of his plan to not have a thirteenth kid.

I have to admit that Elmo invests his money in some pretty questionable projects sometimes. Then he turns around and messes with his functional products at times usually to save a few pennies on production. On the other hand NASA wouldn't have spacecraft and the US wouldn't have electric vehicles without him.

Consider Bill Gates, same general wealth and he uses it for global health initiatives, has committed to give most of his wealth away and gets attacked and slandered for it with wild ****.

Elon's companies have built some incredible things, but he's a petulant child and a ghoul.
    Love you bro!

Many if not most CEO's are.

If you're suggesting he is just a normal CEO, I think you're way off base.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but how many CEOs have you actually met in your life?

Elon is just grandstanding in an attempt to further delay mass transit projects.

No way in hell that gets certified by NHTSA.

We all thought the cybertruck prototype was fantasy BS, and then he built it.

@Gulfcoastguy you have a VW ev, right? Why didn't you buy a Tesla?

It wasn’t because of who owned the company. Let’s see, technical first. I didn’t like all instrumentation and almost all controls running through a single point of failure display . It was also in the center of the dash board. The nearest place that I could get maintenance was about 180 miles away. At the time I ordered the VW Tesla didn’t have a Y out yet(September 2020) and I needed a CUV instead of the Tesla 3’s sedan. If I had waited for the Y itt was more expensive and didn’t have a tax credit at the time. From an infotainment standpoint Tesla didn’t support Apple CarPlay which I had gotten used to. I like to link my phone and use familiar navigation and also play my extensive iTunes files.

Elon wasn’t a factor in my choice. That said he did transform EVs from a nerd’s hobby to mainstream transportation.

Not unexpected though I would like to see the sales US wide and world wide. VW has a sales stop because of door lock recall with their 2024’s. GM ‘s sales are also not shown .

I think I saw that same reporting, Fish.  Who knows what lies ahead for them but they did just announce a partnership with VW that seems to be helping out.

My brother-in-law just got one of their trucks this year and he really likes it.  Take it for what it’s worth, which is not much.

the truck has alot of nice features but i would hold off until i see winter stats below 0f.  i dont understand the tow capacity either, it will tow up to 11000 pounds but can it stop with the short wheel base. they do stand out on the road though. ive done a 360 degree spin at 50 mph once towing 3000 pounds with a short dakota up near ossipee once, its a strange feeling waving to the guy behind you =)

wonder if the sales growth is just based in dollars verse vehicles sold, you can buy alot of truck in the 90k range

Towing capacity these days is based on the braking capability.

it does have a trailer braking system but i would still want a full sized truck for that load. next problem would be if the average buyer of a rivian ever used an adjustable trailer braking system, ever towed before, understands a shorter wheel base tends to jack knife......i just see problems with that kinda weight and this size of a truck. my f550 only tows about 18000 pounds and it doesnt stop too well even with the duallys
