Knew what I wanted to show off but kept forgetting....
My Dad was given this tool when he was a lineman for ATT/ Southwestern Bell before I was born. I played around with it when I was a kid as it was already relegated to the never use tool box.
Fast Forward some 10 years ago after he passed away I told my Sister and Brother there was really only one tool I wanted and it was this. Searching through his belongings didnt reveal it. My brother did take a random box of stuff from the garage and a year later he asks me... is that what you were looking for?
Anyway behold the early 1960s (design much older) STANLEY YANKEE NO. 41Y. I couldnt get the pic clear enough but it is stamped Southwestern Bell.
It still has some of the original bits loaded in the handle. If I ever use it again Im going to buy an adaptor to use fastener bits. Either way it will outlive another generation.XLBGE, LBGE, Charbroil Gas Grill, Weber Q2000, Old Weber Kettle, Rectec RT-B380, Yeti 65, Yeti Hopper 20, RTIC 20, RTIC 20 Soft Side - Too many drinkware vessels to mention.
Not quite in Austin, TX City Limits
Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting. The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president. -
That's a great old tool!
This company is still making them and they have bits if you are interested:

I'm buying one of these way overbuilt copper pots. Due to the $USD strength and Turkey's terrible economy, they are really reasonably priced right now.
And sure to last a couple lifetimes! The silver interior liner is an actual plate of sliver and not just a coating and as such doesn't require maintenance like tin or unlined copper pots. And the heat distribution is incredible compared to Stainless or Cast Iron. Great for making sauces.
