OT: Nasi Goreng and Chicken Satay

Followed the recipes from www.recipetineats.com. 

This seemed pretty close to what I had in Bali. 



Was able to source kecap manis, and shrimp paste from the local Asian market. 

Added a little turmeric to the rice when I made it yesterday for some color, which was completely lost when the kecap manis was added. 

Crispy fried shallots and sambal oelek atop the rice finishes it off nicely.

    Way to get after it.  Love both those dishes but I am too pedestrian to go forth.  Congrats on making it happen.
