Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I can google this I know….but seeing this post prompted the question again in my mind. What’s the difference between F1 and Indy Car? We went to the Indy Car race here in Nashville a few weeks again and loved it!

Open wheel racing with race courses that require turns in both directions demands such talent across the entire team. The $$ in the sport (especially F 1) is off the charts. Sometime google the specs of the cars in the game. It will blow you away.
I agree with @JohnInCarolina, give one a look sometime. F 1 races are a max of two hours in length, adjusted by the Stewards based on any crashes and weather delays.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Aerodynamics, power/acceleration, handling, etc ... miles apart.
If Indy does a lap in 1 min 50 seconds ... F1 is doing that same lap in 1 min 20 seconds. In basically 3 to 4 laps, the indy car is lapped by the F1 car. Your average race is 60 laps ... that means the indy car would have been lapped in the order of 15 times in one race ...
You cannot even compare the two cars, completely different class.
Now, that is not to dismiss Indy ... I love watching Indy live ... and it's much more affordable.Napoleon Prestige Pro 665, XL BGE, Lots of time for BBQ! -
