I think there is maybe even a shout out to Ron (@RRP) in that video.

That image is sending an autoerotic asphyxiation vibe - he must really like his gasket.

I'm starting to appreciate why you don't post any of your own pictures...

I used Ron’s gasket on both my MM and large.  Instructions are good.  My only advise is to have a second set of hands to help feed you the gasket.

Then I’d say he’s spot on. The Rutland does choke the airflow between the dome and base.

Just don't use too much permatex.....one thin bead to tack the gasket in place.  Let the gasket be the gasket, not the glue.  If you can see red glue coming through the fibers, you used way too much.

I just did this two days ago, having put it off for a while.

Do plan to spend a little time prepping the top rim of the base. My old nomex gasket came off in one piece without any scraping and it still spent over an hour with a stripping wheel ($6 at lowe’s https://www.lowes.com/pd/3M-Paint-and-Rust-Stripper-Silicon-Carbide-4-in-Paint-Stripping-Disc/3036320 ), a razor blade, and a little sandpaper. I didn’t have any acetone, but I rubbed it down with isopropyl a couple times, too, for good measure.

I cut the permatex nozzle a little bit small, so I had to squeeze pretty hard to leave a bead. I’d seen 1/8” as the recommendation for the bead and that didn’t look like much, but I didn’t apply much more than that. I zig-zagged a plastic fork across it to get a little more surface covered.

Trimming the gasket is a pain, even with fresh scissors. Use gloves because you’ll be pulling wispies.

I was super careful and worked 4-5” at a time across the back, then worked about 14-16” in a stretch once I got the hang of the bunching. About halfway through, I worked back and evened out the width of the gasket, then did that again at the end.

All in all, I don’t think it’s any worse than doing the Nomex top and bottom and I’m pleased with the result. I had some trepidation that I had not used enough permatex, but it seems to be fine after a clean burn and cook yesterday.
