Creekstone Farms Reverse Sear Tri Tip

Reversed a Creekstone Farm Prime Tri Tip. Cooked at 225 on the Rec Tec 590 until 115 internal. Than seared on the BGE.
This time I really watched the sear time to avoid overcooking. Just 2 minutes on each side then 1
Min per side did the trick. Served with Chimichurri sauce.

I'd eat that with my hands right off the board. Excellent finish!

That's tri-tip perfection right there.  The key is that you stopped roasting it when it got to 115.  Well played.

That is a righteous finish right there.  Sweet $$ shot says it all.  Great cook across the board.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Going to make this meal for a 4th of July party.  @dstearn Thanks for the ideas.... Planning on a red Chimichuri though for the Patriotic Theme

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting.  The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president.

That’s my playbook on tri-tip!  Excellent result.  I just received an order from Creekstone today and now I’m wondering why I didn’t include tri-tips!
