I always have hope things can get better and refuse to let this normalize to the level of background noise.  I would watch government hearings of this magnitude regardless of who is being investigated.

I will definitely watch.  I know there will be some major media grandstanding and much worse than the Watergate hearings (old here) as that is the nature of the beast.
Independent of that - you need to read the book Peril by Woodard and Costas.  All I will offer is that as close as we (the country) came to the edge as portrayed in MSM were about an order of magnitude closer.
Nixon and Watergate was nothing compared to the clown show following November 3, 2020.  F Cheeto and all his acolytes.

Now, now - Milo has said he is no longer gay, his husband is now "just his housemate", and that he's a forced birth Christian. At least that's his latest grift.

F me.  How this clown keeps showing up on the national stage blows my mind.  The extremists are doing so much damage it is amazing...If they had even 10% of a brain, the right would shitcan all the crazies.  Wth the bumbling mess that is currently going on, they would be able to take every single available seat in Nov. Instead they are guaranteeing we keep this fractured structure with AOC/Greene groups ensuring we keep swirling down the toilet.

I am curious as to whether Faux will show the hearings, or keep Tucker on.

If I had to guess, they’ll stick with Tucker and have a team watching and feeding select clips to him during his show but probably focus more on the primaries.

You can stop being curious, I’m fairly certain they’ve announced they won’t cover them.

The ability for groups to pick and choose when celebrities should be listened to, and be sincere when they say listen/don't listen is amazing.

I agree with your point broadly of course, but MM wasn't just some Hollywood star grabbed out of a bag here.  He's actually from Uvalde, and as I understand it, his mother was a teacher.

To be clear, I have no issue with celebrities using their pulpit to help things they believe in.  Good on MM for trying to make positive change.  I was generalizing people who worship Clint Eastwood, then say actors should stick to acting.  I try to listen to the merit of a point regardless of who proposed it .... In full transparency, I fact check on my own, and weight experts in a field well above the FB memes.

    Regarding tonight's hearing:
"Insurrection oversight begins on the Hill. U.S. congressional hearings begin tonight for the failed insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021—wrapping up some 11 months of investigation and closed-door testimony. Live televised coverage is expected to begin at 8 p.m. ET on all major news networks but one.

ICYMI: Fox Corp. execs will move the hearings off of their news channel, and bumping their news anchors to its lower-performing business channel instead. It's a curious choice in light of the historic nature of frankly any attempted insurrection here in the states; but the coverage strategy is, of course, very on-brand for Fox and its overwhelmingly Republican-leaning audience. The Associated Press and the New York Times have more on the topic.

About that choice: "Under U.S. law, freedom of the press means that Fox absolutely has the right to do this," New York University journalism professor Jay Rosen tweeted Tuesday. "By not carrying Thursday's hearing Fox is standing up for the rights of its viewers—more specifically, the right not to know. Not to see," he said, and clarified: "There is a kind of perverse public service standard there. Fox is protecting its public from the news."

"What to expect on day one: Lawmakers plan to lay out "a complete timeline of the riot, beginning with the 2020 election and extending through the riot itself and its aftermath," according to a Wednesday preview from the New York Times. "
