Venice tmrw - food ?
Work trip tmrw flying to Milan then driving to Brescia Italy. 6 days of work (they will pick food) but then headed for some solo R&R in Venice before flying home out of Milan again - anybody spend time in Venice and have food recommendations??

I was hoping for answers too. We went to Venice in 2017 and didn’t have any luck. Odd food town.90% tourist traps with some horrible local joints thrown in. After a week in Tuscany it was a let down on the food scene. We would have killed for a Sbarro by the time we left ha ha.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Repost your query in the main forum and you'll probably get more responses. Posts in the "Off Topic" section don't appear on the main page and thus don't get the same amount of viewers.

@The Cen-Tex Smoker yea venice was not my top choice but that is my schedule. I just noticed Stanley Tucci (searching for italy) covers Venice is a show, so I guess I will start there . . https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/stanley-tucci-searching-for-italy-restaurants-season-two-itinerary-origseriesfilms/index.htmlColumbus, OH

Tucci fan here too, although he's no sub for Bordaine. :(
I've spent some time in Venezia, but too long ago to even remember where we ate.
One trick I did learn: type "recommend restaurant favored by locals" into your phone, have it translated to the local language, and play/show it to your hotel staff. That hasn't steered me wrong yet (although it was normally done in English).___________"When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set."
