fs: BGE XL + wood table + cover (PICKUP IN CHICAGO, IL)

Good morning! I hope I'm able to post this (and I hope it's in the right place!). I have an XL BGE with a wooden table and a cover that needs a new home. I'm in Chicago (Edgewater neighborhood). The Egg is lacking the grill grate and plate setter and the table needs some repair. Also comes with giant green cover and a new gasket. I'm asking $800.

I have the pieces of the table that are missing. I felt they needed to be replaced to maintain the integrity of the table. I've been meaning to get new pieces cut but we're moving so this big guy needs to go.

Hard to tell from the picture but it looks like your base may be cracked in that last picture. If so, be careful if you decide to fire it back up. Maybe even get it replaced under warranty before selling it. Good luck with the move.

Yeah, base looks like it has stress cracks all over.  Investigate and fix while you can with warranty.

How's my price? The XL for 2022 is $1400 plus 10.25% sales tax for our area. I was thinking it was okay based on prior thread discussion of used BGE prices. I'll even throw in the spiderwebs!

collecting sales tax? Are you giving that to the State ? If not..............

I think he is saying if you buy his for $800, you save $1400 plus tax.

I paid $800 a couple years ago and thought I came out good.  Mine came with a nest, not table, and a bunch of accessories including a guru.

You said you bought it used, that might be a good reference for price.

Right, they depreciate as they get older.  The big hit is obviously losing the warranty through the first sale.
