When I was around 10, I built an air cannon out of PVC and an air compressor.  I was dialing in my ammo and sighting setup when I launched a projectile over the neighbors house and into her pool.  She did not have a sense of humor and gave me an ass chewing that still smarts to this day.

I assume you watched every second of the 1st Test in Antigua?   Your consistent posting recently is indicative of a type of boredom that can only be induced by a flat pitch and two very mediocre teams.

Recorded it too.  I like to rewatch every pitch as I learn.  Deciphering all the commentary is pretty difficult at the moment. Bonner's near 10hrs at the crease seemed impressive.  Is that normal?

Ed's use of the word pitch is different to yours.

Entertainingly, the Talk Sport coverage (I use that word with some reticence as it's no TMS) claimed that the pitch was rated at 6 out of 10 difficulty based on statistical analysis. This includes number of played and missed, so it seemed to me that this evaluation was confusing both teams being a bit sh1t with the ball moving a lot.

2nd Test is an absolute run fest.  It's very exciting when England some 500 because either they will win easily and have returned to majesty, or, the other side scores 700 in half the time and we get humped.

500 runs in first inning with WI trailing by 303.  Seems like a good place to be.

So many runs!  Are steroids involved?  Is this a more exciting version of baseball?

No.  The answer to your last question is… no.

That is correct.  It is more exciting than baseball, but not a version of baseball.

Not much reported about the roids.  A few players  have been caught sampling Columbia’s finest.  Booze is a bigger issue.
    Thanks for asking.

Meanwhile in Barbados, still plenty of time for England to screw things up.

What do you make of England's batting order inversion strategy, @Ozzie_Isaac

I've never been much of a cricket (or, any sport) fan myself , but I always chuckle when folks joke about the length/duration of cricket matches/series. The baseball "World" Series seems to go on forever. Its much more efficient to wait for people at work to tell me how the Astros are doing in any given year.

Still trying to wrap my head around this.  Not sure how critical it is to the outcome.

Those are 7 (for a good series) individual games.  Hence the moniker "series".  If it were called a "match" then yes I would agree with you.

A prescient remark in this match.  You know far more than you betray. Well done.
